Kitemill at Vivatech Paris 2017

Vivatech is one of world’s largest energy conferences, with 50000 visitors from the whole world. Of those there were 5000 persons who participated at the start-up gathering presenting new energy companies.

1000 investors

Kitemill, invited by the French company Engie, was especially enthousiastic about the opportunity to present itself for 1000 investors which was very interesting. In addition, there were more than 400 people on the scene to give a presentation, like Eric Schmidt, John Collison, Jeff Immelt and Daniel Zhang. Multiple companies demonstrated their break-through robots, drones and fantastic VR-demo and other interesting stuff.

It is not just in Paris that Kitemill is active this summer and winter. Representatives from the company will also participate a range of other conferences where new, sustainable energy is the focus area.

Wind Energy Conference in Germany

Kitemill participates among others at the “Energy Independent Vehicles” workshop at the Technical University in Delft in the Netherlands on the 26-27th of September. Kitemill has also oral presentations at the 7th international airborne wind energy conference in Freiburg in Germany at the Albert-Ludwigs University (AWEC-2017). Airborne wind energy (AWE) is a future renewable energy technology that aims to replace fossil fuels for energy production based on economical ways. A general characteristic within the different AWE-concepts is the use of connected flying objects to get access to wind energy at higher altitudes where the winds are more consistent. During the past ten years, the AWE community has grown considerably both at research institutes but also by the number of commercial enterprises. Several companies will present their technology, that produces units of energy supply up to 600 kW (Google Makani). After the participation in Germany, Kitemill will also present at the Zero-conference in Oslo.
